Well first off I'd like to say that I hope everyone had a safe New Year's Eve and a great beginning to 2008! The holidays are difficult for me as I left a six year lie the Christmas before this one past. I didn't have a lover to kiss at midnight, no romance or rolling around in the hay for me! I spent the evening with my teenage son...we watched movies and ate junk food galore! He gave me a big bear hug and a kiss on the cheek at midnight. All in all it wasn't a bad night. It could of been worse, like the one I had the year prior; crying all alone about love lost and leaving a house of lies that I thought to be my home. So even though my holiday wasn't full of romance and fun with a lover, it was still good because I was with the one young man that means the world to me, my son. We spent today lounging around in our jammies, watching movies and eating more junk. We didn't even leave the house! A lazy day indeed!
A cold front has moved in and will most likely affect our canoing trip planned for this weekend! It's supposed to be like 40 degrees in the morn; I actually had to turn the heat on! Am not used to the cold weather, but appreciate the change in climate. I was born and raised in sunny Florida; and have never even seen snow! I often wonder what it would be like to fall back into the white fluffiness of it and make a snow angel. Who knows, perhaps one day I'll get to do exactly that!
Thanks to Pixie and Brenda for adding me to their friend's list. Now I don't feel like such a loner out here...lol*
Many blessings to all......Sena

I know about lonely holidays, friend. This is the first New Year I've spent with someone other than my kids! My kids and I have fun New Year traditions, though, which I wouldn't trade for anything. And look at it this way, leaving the lie has made room for good things in your life!
Pixie StyxWe got snow last night so, if you want to make a snow angel, come on up. I guarantee you'll love snow for as long as it takes to get in your collar and freeze you to the core (about a nanosecond!).
May 2008 be the best year ever! :)
