    I've been away too long....

Hey all Coven Spacers! I hope this finds everyone doing well and with many blessings. I haven't been online much lately. I took my son to Daytona beach for spring break. We camped at a lovely little campground in Port Orange. We had a ball. I'll post more pictures later this week. It was definitely nice to get out of town for a bit. The break was refreshing to my soul and was long over due. I haven't had a chance to sit down and write any poetry lately; but as soon as I come up with something good I'll post it on my page. I hope everyone had a good weekend and has a fantastic week.

    Blessed be friends,

    February...sweet February

    Sunday, February 24, 2008, 12:11 AM [General]

A month of surprises indeed. Health issues always at hand I ended up with a horrible ear infection. Seems I am allergic to my new found feline friend, Stacie. She is very lovable, but has separation anxiety; and is tearing up my carpet and furniture! I've also found her sleeping in the litter box??? I didn't think cats did such things??? This is my first cat, so if anyone can give me some information I'd appreciate it.

I've gone on two dates this month. One was with a man whom lied about his height/weight; nice restaurant, showed up with a yellow rose, conversation was boring at best. The other turned out to be a perfect gentle man and brought me a huge bouquet of flowers; he was very sweet and the conversation flowed well; we have plans to go to a charity event next month. I'm hesitant about the dating scene; though it was nice to meet someone who seemed normal for a change; experience tells me to keep my head on my shoulders, as I believe one never really knows another. I'm not used to the whole internet dating scene; and am finding there to be lots of creeps out there.

I've been dealing with writer's block through most of February. Prose doesn't want to flow from my pen. This was the last poem I wrote several weeks ago. I hope you enjoy the read; and let me know what you think.

    R.O.M.M.

In the remnants of my mind-

Lie things of the darkest kind...

    Memories once faded to black...

    Jump into my consciousness stat.

Bottle the tears, place 'em on a shelf-

No need to linger, no need to dwell...

In the remnants of my mind...

    No going back, no rewind-

All the bridges crossed and burned-

And never around did I turn...

One step at a time on my path-

Court jestures always wear a mask-

I am the only thing that's real...

My fragmented mind and how I feel-

Just keep walking, try not to think...

Or into the darkness I shall sink-

Ellusive is the test of time...

In the remnants of my mind.

Constructive criticism is always appreciated. I've been working on putting a book together of my favorite works. This is one of them. I enjoyed writing this one; it was quite therapeutic. I haven't been able to write anything since; and am wishing that the block leaves me soon. I'm planning to play in the dirt tomorrow and give my plants some much needed TLC. Perhaps being out in nature will inspire me to write something beautiful.

I hope everyone is having a great year thus far.

    New Year's Day....

    Tuesday, January 1, 2008, 06:14 PM [General]

Well first off I'd like to say that I hope everyone had a safe New Year's Eve and a great beginning to 2008! The holidays are difficult for me as I left a six year lie the Christmas before this one past. I didn't have a lover to kiss at midnight, no romance or rolling around in the hay for me! I spent the evening with my teenage son...we watched movies and ate junk food galore! He gave me a big bear hug and a kiss on the cheek at midnight. All in all it wasn't a bad night. It could of been worse, like the one I had the year prior; crying all alone about love lost and leaving a house of lies that I thought to be my home. So even though my holiday wasn't full of romance and fun with a lover, it was still good because I was with the one young man that means the world to me, my son. We spent today lounging around in our jammies, watching movies and eating more junk. We didn't even leave the house! A lazy day indeed!

A cold front has moved in and will most likely affect our canoing trip planned for this weekend! It's supposed to be like 40 degrees in the morn; I actually had to turn the heat on! Am not used to the cold weather, but appreciate the change in climate. I was born and raised in sunny Florida; and have never even seen snow! I often wonder what it would be like to fall back into the white fluffiness of it and make a snow angel. Who knows, perhaps one day I'll get to do exactly that!

Thanks to Pixie and Brenda for adding me to their friend's list. Now I don't feel like such a loner out here...lol*

    Many blessings to all......Sena
